I wonder how such heavy tack can look so elegant. Cowboys can carry themselves with a lot of grace. I really spent a lot of time working on the negative space in this painting. From the rope to the shadows, there are patterns and shapes that dance everywhere. I also think you don't have to be a western affectionato to appreciate this type of art. You could appreciate it for the color alone.
